Making new habits: An alternative to willpower

As part of the Festival of Social Sciences, hosted by Sheffield Hallam University and the University of Sheffield, Professor Maddy Arden is presenting research from behavioural science on the power of habits to drive and maintain behaviours. She will consider why it’s so difficult to make changes to our behaviours using willpower, and how we can develop new routines and ways of doing things that can become habits over time and have the best chance of being maintained. The session will include a practical workshop where you will be guided to make personal plans for the changes that you want to achieve.

When: Monday 5th November 2018 (6-7:30pm)
Where: The Workstation, Sheffield
